The Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock, Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Jane Horton as Priest-in-Charge (0.2fte) of St Cuthbert’s, Cambuslang. Her licensing will take place in St Cuthbert’s, 3 Brownside Road, Cambuslang, Glasgow G72 8NL at 6pm on Sunday, 12 October.
All are welcome, lay readers and clergy are invited to robe—white stole. For planning purposes, please RSVP to office@glasgow.anglican.org by 8 October 2025.
Jane says, “I have really enjoyed regularly preaching and presiding at St Cuthbert’s this year and getting to know the members of the congregation, some of whom have also joined with folk from the East End churches for a shared Lent Course and other mid-week groups. It feels a very natural progression to be taking on a more formal part-time role with St Cuthbert’s and I am very much looking forward to journeying alongside them in the coming months.”
Bishop Nick says, “I’m delighted to welcome Jane as Priest-in-Charge of Cambuslang. This appointment comes at a time of hope and renewal within the Diocese, and Jane brings a wealth of experience, prayerful insight, and a genuine heart for community. I am confident that she will be a source of encouragement, both to the congregation at Cambuslang and to the wider community.”
Please hold Jane and Tess and St Cuthbert’s congregation in your prayers as this new chapter begins.
