Activities

At the moment most groups are meeting face to face though the Monday and Friday prayer groups are on Zoom. If you wish to join the Zoom groups contact the rector.

Craftynoons

Come along and share a craft or skill that you have or come and learn a new one. Have fun and make new friends. Refreshments served around 3.00pm. Tuesday Afternoons from 2.00pm till 4.00pm

Friday “Drop Inn”

This happens weekly from 10am to 12 Noon. An opportunity to chat, enjoy a tea/coffee, share and relax in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It can also be a time to enjoy an outing along the shore on the trishaws. This surely is an opportunity to offer respite to all who struggle with isolation or addressing the current financial, energy and cost of living challenges that many face.

Small Groups

“Meeting at church on a Sunday is an important time to get together as a community, receive teaching and fellowship, and worship our God. However, sometimes Sundays can be so busy, and full of different faces, they pass by in a bit of a blur. Sometimes we crave something smaller and more intimate.

Small groups make up the fabric of the church. They are the place where the truest form of authentic biblical community can be fully expressed and worked out. Usually meeting midweek in groups of anything from two to ten, small groups are a chance to create deep friendships, pray and study God’s word in a way that is not possible on a Sunday. They are a place where training and equipping in spiritual gifts can be developed. They are a place where leadership gifts can be encouraged and emerge. They are units where we can engage more meaningfully in mission to those who surround us. Within these groups there is the chance to grow in relationship with God, get to know others and allow others to get to know you. Each group is intentionally different in flavour focussing on the Bible, on prayer or on discipleship itself. This caters for many needs and allows for a focus to make the most of the time together.

Do have a look at the groups below and if you are interested please contact the person who is responsible for that group.”

St Ninian’s Walking Group

The Group meets every Wednesday. We welcome all who wish to join us doing a local 6 to 8 mile walk. Our group averages about 8 to 10 walkers every Wednesday and all enjoy a time of physical exercise and a chance to “walk and talk” in good company in the fresh air. All who wish to join us are invited to contact us by email (ccheales@hotmail.com).

Walkaboutabit (Stepping Out)

This is a weekly meeting of the St Ninian’s Walking group(Thurdays 10am) that is an invitation to all who find walking for fun is not as easy as it used to be. The walk is about a mile, nearly always along the shore, and followed by a welcome coffee/tea and biscuits in the hall. This is greatly enjoyed as a time for sharing and caring and is certainly as important as the walk to boost physical and mental health.
