The Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock, Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Willie Shaw as Priest-in-Charge (0.5fte) for three years of St Mark’s, East Kilbride. His licensing will be on Thursday 30 October at 7pm in St Mark’s Church, Telford Road, East Kilbride, G75 0HN.
Willie says, “I’m really looking forward to getting to know the people of St Mark’s and East Kilbride, to praying and worshipping with them, and to joining in with what God is stirring up in their hearts and minds.”
Willie joins St Mark’s following his time as Rector of St Mary’s, Grangemouth and St Catharine’s, Bo’ness in the Diocese of Edinburgh.
Bishop Nick says, “I’m absolutely delighted with this appointment. There is a real sense of wanting to move forward as a church community and Willie brings a wealth of experience with him for the task ahead.”
All are welcome, lay readers and clergy are invited to robe (white stole).
Please pray for Willie, his family, and the community of St Mark’s as they prepare for this new chapter.
