The Consecration of the Rev Canon Dr Nick Bundock as the next Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway will take place at 4pm on Saturday, 3 May 2025, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow, followed by a reception at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
Due to limited capacity at both the cathedral and the reception venue, this is an invitation-only event.
The event will bring together clergy, laity, ecumenical, interfaith and secular friends and partners, as well as the wider church community to celebrate this new chapter in the life of the Diocese and the Scottish Episcopal Church, as the people of Glasgow and Galloway prepare to welcome their new bishop.
For those who are unable to be present in person, the Cathedral has arranged for a livestream of the service, with a recording available afterward. The broadcast can be viewed at this link on the St Mary’s Cathedral Youtube channel.
Further details, including the order of service are available at the Diocesan website here.
Meanwhile, the new Bishop will preach at an Evensong service at St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday 11 May, at 5pm. The service is not ticketed and it is open for all to attend.
